This is the main stuff I use everyday to get my hobby juices flowing

My Terrain Kits

My Eden Prime Kit

The ‘Eden Prime’ terrain kit I designed is now available as a commercial product! So, if you didn’t have a laser cutter you can now collect this set from my good friends at Scorched Earth or Northern Lights. You can still grab the files to cut this yourself on my Patreon page.

Sci-fi and Fantasy Terrain in ONE Kit

If you do have access to a laser cutter then considering picking up the vector files to make a full modular Zone Mortalis, Castle or Dungeon with all the parts needed. Columns, walls, doors, ladders, railings and stairs – all included to get you a full table, really quickly!

Painting Kit

My hobby vastly improved when I upgraded my kit. I know there’ll be those that say, “it’s not the tool, it’s the talent”, but I bet those people haven’t tried to dig a deep hole with their bare hands. Shovel, anyone? Why wouldn’t you want a high end sable brush that retains its point? Or oils that don’t dillute to watery grit.

Raphael Brush 8404 Size 1

Fantastic Sable brush for miniatures. Other sizes available.

Army Painter Drybrushes

A set of drybrushes for your models or terrain.

Cheap Drybrushes

Make-up brushes to use for drybrushing. Great for terrain.

Warlord Games Brushes

Super fine tipped brushes for difficult details and recesses.

Liquitex Inks

Choose your ink colour and start mixing. I recommend CMYK inks.

AP Speedpaint Mega Set

All the speedpaints you could need in one mega box.

Drybrush Palette

It’s like Lego but not. Prime and use it as a drybrush palette.

Liquitex Matte Medium

Great for making your own Lahmian Medium with water.

Inexpensive synthetic brushes for use with oils or terrain.

AP Warpaints Air Mega Set

A set of 60 18ml thinned paints for airbrushing.

AK 3rd Gen Paints

A small starter set of AK Interactive 3G paints.

Shinhan Pro Artist Oil

Don’t buy cheap oil. Washes just go gritty. Buy artists oil.

Glaze and Wash Medium

Pro Acryl Glaze and Wash medium. Brilliant for thinning your paints with accurate drops.

Newsh

Pro Acryl’s fantastic weathering medium. Simply mix with acrylic and treat like oil.

AP Speedpaint

AP Most Wanted set of Speedpaint. Great to get you started with these types of paints.

Colour Forge Black 500ml

Black Primer spray by Colour Forge. Much better value than others due to its larger volume.

Citadel White Scar 400ml

Ok, let’s not lie. It’s more expensive but is THE best one out there for smooth coverage.

Colour Forge Grey 500ml

CF Standard Grey spray. Layer White Scar over to make an ok, smooth zenithal.

Pro Acryl Base Set

The Bold Titanium White in this set is worth it alone. You’ll also get 23 other colours.

Redgrass Wet Palette v2

A much improved upgrade from v1 this is my go to for keeping my paint wet and fresh.

Ammo Dio Drybrush

The creamiest moist drybrush paints that I have found. Big bottles too!

Vallejo Metal Color

Great with brush and airbrush. Probably the smoothest metallics on the market today.

GSW Liquid Pigments

Want to replace your Dirty Down Rust with a pigment range you can control?

Ammo Shaders

The thinnest of glazes you can work for a long time with water. Blend, shade, spray.

Ice Cube Tray

Large Bead Mould

A paint palette made from hearts & circles. Super easy to clean, the paint just pops right off.

Small Bead Mould

Not as spacious as it’s larger friend but still great for a few drops of Speedpaint.

Chocolate Moulds

My favourite of all the fidget popper replacements. Loads of space for paint.

Basing Bits

There’s hundreds of ways of basing. You could just grab dirt from your garden and glue it on – although for health reasons I can’t really recommend that. There are quite a few things that make there way into my bases, time and again.

Matte Mod Podge

I tend to find this stuff works better than plain old PVA glue.

WWS Basing Bits

A solid collection of starter bits that can create great bases.

Gravel & Sand Fixer

AK’s great flowing glue. Runs into all the cracks and glues bases.

Cork Sheet

Great for breaking apart to make rocky raised areas and height.

AK Textures

AK Interactive basing textures are great for realistic ground.

AK Grimes

All types of AK enamel dirt and grime. Use with white spirit.

Water Effects

From resins to liquid acrylics; make water bases and pools.

Grass Tufts

My go-to has become Gamers Grass due to sheer variety.

A bad workman blames his tools. Sure! If you’ve got shit tools, then expect a bad job

Models and Terrain*

These are some of my absolute favourites, mainly due to their brilliant versatility and how I launched my channel. Zone Mortalis can be used across so many games just by assembling it in different ways. I’ve also included an eclectic mix of boxed sets that get you huge amounts of models in one handy set, allowing you to spend less, but get more.

*NOTE: Element Games cannot ship Games Workshop products outside of Europe due to GW’s regulations.

Columns & Walls

Zone Mortalis Columns, Walls and Doors at a discount.

Platforms & Stairs

Zone Mortalis Platforms, Stairs, Railings and Elevators; cheaper.

The elusive Zone Mortalis Floor Tiles. Grab them while they last.

Gang Stronghold

Zone Mortalis Gang Stronghold. More holes than Swiss cheese?

Underhive Market

Zone Mortalis Market set. For that highly populated underhive…

Promethium Tanks

Fuel Tanks for those that want a bit of firey death in their terrain.

Ash Wastes

Take Necromunda outside into the dusty Ash Wastes.

Heroquest

The great 80s game is back with a great array of models.

Cursed City

Still a great game with amazing models despite its weird launch.

Leviathan

Still the best way to get a load of Terminators and Nids in one box.

Ork Army

The easiest way to get a great Ork Army in 4 boxes.

Vampires!

Really, do I need to say more. A Vampire Army.

Airbrushing Kit

Let’s be honest with ourselves, a cheap, crappy airbrush and compressor that pushes air like a kid blowing bubbles in their juice is gonna frustrate you on the first day. Save up. Buy better. You’ll thank me in the long run and you won’t have to buy everything twice when it inevitably breaks.

Sparmax TC620X

A dual hose compressor for two airbrushes at once.

AS-186A Compressor

A mid range compressor, perfect for those starting out.

Molotow Acrylic Lrg

Amazing paint for an airbrush. No thinning required.

Molotow Acrylic Sml

Vallejo Thinner

A great thinner for your paint. Mix 80/20 with Flow Improver.

Vallejo Flow Improver

Make your paint more fluid. Mix 20/80 with Thinner.

Tools, bits and useful items

Quite a lot of the tools we can use in our hobby don’t even come from our hobby. For those of us who don’t want to loiter in the women’s aisle they invented Amazon. It’s a good job too or I wouldn’t have a clue where to buy eye shadow sponges.

Acrylic Paint Rack

This will fit 12 droppers per row or 10 Citadel pots.

Moveable Paint Station

For when you have limited space to do everything.

Tamiya Weathering

Brilliant little weathering tools for models. Sets available.

Expensive? Yes. But by far the best to be had. Why chew your sprue.

Large Paperclips

Cut into lengths, drill models feet, poke into corks.

Artist's White Spirit

Low odour White Spirit for use with oils and enamels.

50 disposable sponges for removing oil smoothly.

Molotow Fineliners

Great for fine details like eyes and small, thin recesses.

Waterslide Decal Paper

Make all manner of waterslide decals for your models.

Let there be light!

You can paint miniatures and terrain in the dark if you’re so inclined…I’d recommend a light that puts out a daylight equivalent of between 5000- 6500K with enough lumens to show up all your mistakes.

Neatfi XL Clip Lamp

2200 Lumens at 6500 Kelvin will make your room look like daytime.

Neatfi Magnifying Lamp

For those of us whose eyes just aren’t what they used to be.

Daylight Bulbs x3

3 Energizer LED daylight bulbs saving you 85% energy.

GSW Arched Lamp

Makes your hobby space look like something from a Sci-fi movie.

Often you just need a tool that’s different. Maybe to strap a huge bone to your arm?

Laser Cutting Kit

I mean you could go out and buy a 3D Printer, spend days figuring out optimal settings, then wait even more days for it all to print – or you could get a laser cutter and have in all done in less than an hour. Up to you I guess.

Camera Kit

I dunno, maybe you want to do all this yourself and become a Youtuber. It’s a thankless, lonely, hopeless task but if your heart is really set on it, there’s some gear you might need, that’ll help. Yeah you can do it with a phone, but that gets stale real fast.
